Rigid endoscope repair

Rigid endoscope repair covers optical scopes used in laparoscopy, arthroscopy, cystoscopy, and sinus surgery. ProbeBridge coordinates the review with specialist partner workshops in China.

A laparoscope repair here means the rigid optical telescope. Start with the manufacturer, the model on the label, and what you see through the scope.

Scope types

Laparoscopes, arthroscopes, cystoscopes, and sinus scopes are accepted for review. Other rigid scopes can be named in the request and are confirmed case by case.

What to describe

Look through the scope against a plain light source and describe what you see. Note how the scope was last reprocessed if a fault appeared afterwards.

  • ImageBlur, haze, a dark field, or spots in the view.
  • LightA dim field or dark patches at the light-post end.
  • Shaft and tipBends, dents, scratches, or visible damage at the distal tip.
  • Eyepiece and light postDamage or looseness at the eyepiece or light connector.

Camera systems

Camera heads, sensor cables, coupler optics, and camera control units are reviewed as camera systems. If the image fault follows the camera head to another scope, choose camera systems in the form.

What this page is not

Laparoscopic graspers and scissors are surgical instruments. Laparoscopic ultrasound probes are transducers and use the surgical probe page.

Manufacturers

Karl Storz, Olympus, and Richard Wolf rigid scopes are accepted for review. Manufacturer names identify the device. They do not imply manufacturer authorization or that every model is covered.

Questions

Is the fault in the scope or the camera?

Try the same camera head on another scope, and the same scope on another camera, if you can. If the fault follows the scope, request a rigid endoscope review.

Can every rigid scope be repaired?

No. Feasibility depends on the exact model and the damage. We confirm whether the scope can be evaluated before you arrange shipment.

Do you publish a rigid endoscope repair price?

No. Pricing is quoted after the model and fault are reviewed. Sending the form emails the request; it is not a quote.
